Children's safety comes before the event.
Our team follows a written reporting procedure. Staff and volunteers listen, record and report concerns. They do not investigate disclosures themselves.
If a child is in immediate danger
Call 999. If police help is needed and it is not an emergency, call 101.
Report a concern where the child lives
For a concern that is not an immediate emergency, contact the children's social care service for the local authority where the child lives. The project's eligible postcode districts cross local-authority boundaries, so Barnsley contact details will not be the right route for every household.

Contact Barnsley Children's Social Care on 01226 772423, Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm. For an urgent concern outside those hours, call the emergency duty team on 01226 787789.
